Her vast experience in the field allows her to fully understand the diverse financial situations brought to her by clients. Sandra takes the time to fully assess the financial situation of each client so she can give them choices and options to pursue that will likely improve their situation. Sandra fully believes that each and every person has the power to improve their financial situation, if they are given the information and support that they need to help push them forward. She is happy to provide the necessary tools that help people move forward.

Patrick O'Connell, Regional Credit Counsellor, Charlottetown Office

Patrick O’Connell believes that looking at all the pieces of a person’s financial situation is the key to finding a way out of any difficult situation. Patrick takes all the financial information provided by each client and puts it together in a way that allows them to find areas in which they can change or improve. Clients who leave Patrick’s office do so with a greater understanding of their finances and with choices on how to improve their own unique financial situation. The choice of what to do next is then left to the client, while Patrick remains available to provide whatever support they need as they move forward.

Patrick was born and raised on Prince Edward Island. He is currently the Program Manager for Credit Counselling at Family Service PEI. He has been working to help clients improve their financial status since December 2007. He holds a degree in Business Administration from UPEI and has also completed the BIA Counselor course. Patrick is an Accredited Financial Counsellor through the completion of the AFCPE program – which is currently the highest designation one can receive in the field of financial counselling. He has also completed the BIA Counselor course which allows him to work with clients who require mandatory counselling as a result of filing for bankruptcy through an alternate agency. (Please note: you cannot file for bankruptcy through Family Service PEI)
